Dennis D. Marlon, 34, was stopped at a red light on the westbound highway in his Pontiac Grand Am, where the highway intersects with Washougal River Road. When the light turned green, he entered the intersection and was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Aveo driven by Emily A. Hoyt, 17, of Vancouver. The crash was reported at 11:29 a.m. Marlon was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was also cited by the State Patrol for driving with a suspended license. Troopers said Hoyt wasn't paying attention and cited her for following too closely.

Police are investigating a Wilbur school bus accident in New Castle County. Around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning, a vehicle rear-ended the bus as it was getting ready to turn on to Wrangle Hill Road. Officials say 45 students were on the bus and 14 of them were sent to Christiana Hospital. The bus driver, Nichole Lambert, 26, and the driver of the other vehicle Madison Brooks, 23, were also taken for treatment. They were all treated and released.

A Polk County school bus accident sent 12 Crystal Lake Middle School students to the hospital Thursday morning with minor injuries. It happened around 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of South Crystal Lake Drive and US 98 in Lakeland. Alicia Delgado said it wasn't the collision that sent her running to the scene Thursday morning, but what she heard shortly after. Authorities say a Subaru was two cars behind a school bus carrying 30 Crystal Lake Middle School students.

The intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Windmill Lane has reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly seven hours because of a fatal crash that left two people dead. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. According to police, the driver of pickup truck was speeding southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard and rear-ended a moped stopped at a red light. Both people on the moped were thrown more than 100 feet. One person died at the scene and the other died at University Medical Center. A third car was also hit by the vehicles.

Two Santa Rosa women on their way to dinner with their husbands were killed Saturday evening by a suspected drunken driver when his pickup rear-ended the sedan they were riding in as it sat in traffic on Highway 12 near Farmers Lane. Susan Hufford, 53, and her mother-in-law, Sharon Hufford, 74, were riding in the rear of the Toyota Camry driven by Randolph Hufford, 54, with his father Donald Hufford, 74, in the front passenger's seat when it was struck from behind by a full-sized GMC Sierra pickup, CHP Sgt. Erik Egide said.

A 25-year-old New Britain man was charged with operating under the influence after he crashed into a Middletown police cruiser early Sunday, police said. Christopher Griffiths, 25, struck a cruiser operated by Officer Patrick Kiely at the intersection of Washington and High streets around 12:50 a.m., police said. Kiely was stopped at a red light when Griffiths struck him from behind.

Eleven students on the bus were transported to Jewish Hospital South and released after a wreck that occured at about 6:30 a.m. at Preston Highway and Belmont Road just east of Fort Knox. An 86-year-old man drove into the back of a school bus that had stop to pick up students in Bullitt County. The man later died of his injuries. None of the students suffered serious injuries.

Maryland State Police troopers say two people have died following a three-car crash on I-81 in Williamsport. The State Police says it happened at about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say an investigation found that a 2004 Jeep slowed due to a backup related to road construction. Troopers say the driver of a 2010 Ford pickup truck failed to notice the backed up traffic and hit the Jeep, which erupted in flames. The truck then hit a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer.

An Inverness teen who was driving an ATV without headlights or a helmet died in a crash in Citrus County on Monday evening. Florida Highway Patrol investigators say at about 8:39 p.m., 17-year-old Alexander Terraciano was driving the ATV on County Road 581. A 2003 Honda Civic driven by Barbara Jean Cross, 38, of Hernando, was driving behind Terraciano and hit the back of the ATV. Terraciano died at the scene of the crash. No charges were filed in connection with the crash.

A Friday morning wreck involving a van and a Quitman school bus on a Cleburne County state highway ended with a woman's death, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary crash report. The school bus was at a stop on Arkansas 124 east of Quitman picking up a fourth child when a Kia van struck the back end of the bus, ultimately killing the van's driver, Martha Bearden, 54, of Guy, the report states. The road conditions were clear and dry, according to the report. The report also lists a female passenger of the van — Phoenix Bearden of Guy, whose age is not provided — as injured.
