State Fish & Game officials said a Lebanon man was injured in a snowmobile accident, and subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. According to authorities, Kevin Bailey was riding his snowmobile on the Northern Rail Trail in Enfield when he came upon a woman walking her dog. Bailey swerved to avoid the woman and her pet, and veered off the trail, crashing into a tree and suffering minor injuries.

A Massachusetts man has been injured in a snowmobile accident in New Hampshire. Fish and Game officers say 49-year-old Eric Mueller of Wales, Mass., lost control of the machine while going over a piece of uneven terrain at the Owl’s nest Golf Course in Campton on Sunday afternoon and was ejected. Mueller was taken to a hospital with injuries to his torso. His condition wasn’t immediately known. Fish and Game officer say it appears that operator inattention was a contributing factor in the accident.

A New Hampshire man has died in an early morning snowmobile crash in Barnstead. Authorities say Aaron E. Brown of Dover was operating a snowmobile on private property at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a turn in a trail and collided with several trees. Brown was wearing a helmet. Authorities say it appears that speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.

A snowmobiler died after he tried to jump a creek near Cooke City, Mont., and crashed. Park County officials stated that the man crashed shortly after noon Thursday and that search and rescue members arrived within minutes. The man died at the scene after resuscitation efforts failed. The coroner’s office will release the man’s name and hometown after his family is notified.

A Cowlesville man died sometime overnight after the snowmobile he was riding southbound on Folsomdale Road in the Town of Bennington traveled off the east shoulder of the road and struck a road sign, Wyoming County sheriff’s officials said today. Jeffery J. Kirsch, 30, was discovered early this morning by a town plow truck operator and pronounced dead at the scene just south of Bear Road, sheriff’s officials said. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Strykersville Fire Department, Harris Corners Fire Department and Wyoming County Emergency Services. The investigation is continuing.

Police say a snowmobiler has died after being struck by another snowmobile in Washtenaw County. The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in York Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit. State police Sgt. Mark Thompson says two snowmobilers were riding on a road, with one following the other, and the first driver fell off and was struck by the second snowmobile. Thompson says the driver of the first snowmobile died at the scene.

A Franklin, Mass., woman was injured in a snowmobile crash Sunday afternoon in Milan. Samantha Carneiro, 21, was operating a rented snowmobile when she went off into the soft snow around a sharp corner and crashed into some trees, officials from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said. Carneiro was thrown from the machine and suffered a leg injury. Rescue personnel treated Carneiro at the scene of the accident and transported her from the trail to a waiting ambulance that took her to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin.

A man was hurt Sunday when the snowmobile he was riding on crashed and he was thrown from the vehicle. It happened around 6 a.m. on the eastern shoreline of Magician Lake in Silver Creek Township, northwest of Dowagiac, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

A Merrillville man has been injured after his snowmobile struck a hard three-foot pile of snow. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the accident occurred about 6 p.m. Sunday in Griffith, about 25 miles southeast of Chicago. Conservation Officer Shawn Brown says 39-year-old John Budack was riding a snowmobile on a local bicycle trail when the vehicle struck a hard mound of snow, knocking him off. Budack was taken to a hospital in Munster and was being treated for a possible broken leg and broken wrists.

Vermont State Police say a New Hampshire woman suffered minor injuries when she drove a snowmobile into the side of a car. Police say 40-year-old Heather King of Merrimack, N.H., was traveling west on a snowmobile trail in Danville on Saturday when she failed to yield for traffic on Kittredge Road and drove into the side of a car. Both vehicles were damaged. The driver of the car was not hurt.
