A driver died early Friday in Oceanside when he was ejected from his truck after it slammed into a tree.

The man was heading south on College Boulevard just north of Avenida de la Plata about 12:15 a.m. when for unknown reasons the truck crossed the center median, Oceanside police said.

The 2013 Toyota Tacoma then slammed into a eucalyptus tree. The driver was thrown from the vehicle, which rolled over and ended up in the northbound lanes, police said.

The man died at the scene. His name has not been released.

A 25-year-old man was killed when his car left the interstate early Friday morning, police said.

Just after 3 a.m., Xavier Ware was heading westbound on Interstate 240 west of Jackson when his 2000 Jeep Cherokee veered off the roadway. The Cherokee then struck a guardrail before continuing on and hitting a utility pole. The Cherokee then rolled over, police said.

Paramedics pronounced Ware dead at the scene.

Lincoln Police say the driver, 21-year-old Nathaniel Wilkins, was cited and released for DUI.

Emergency crews take a driver to the hospital after his car rolls off the road and lands on its roof. Officials said the driver does not have serious injuries.

The rollover happened near Randolph and Capitol Parkway around 2:30 on Friday morning.

Officials at the scene said the man was driving down Capitol Parkway toward 27th Street when his car rolled and landed on its roof by the side of the road.

A head-on collision in eastern Missouri has left three people dead and a driver hospitalized.

The crash happened at 6:30 a.m. Friday on Missouri 185 near the Washington County town of Sullivan.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a northbound pickup truck was passing another vehicle on a hill and collided with a southbound passenger car.

Authorities identified those killed as the driver of the car, 25-year-old Casey Edwards, and two passengers, 28-year-old Valerie Lewis and 56-year-old Shari Ryerson. All were residents of Sullivan.

Two people are dead following a chain-reaction crash involving a school bus. The crash happened on Dunn Avenue and New Kings Road. The Florida Highway Patrol said a school bus with 14 students from Dinsmore Elementary School stopped with its lights flashing, dropping kids off. A black car and white SUV were stopped behind the bus. FHP said a semi truck driver didn't see the stopped cars in time to stop. He swerved to try to avoid the crash but couldn't. Four children were taken to UF Health, as well as the school bus driver.

Police say 46-year-old Donald Davis of Millsboro was riding a scooter southbound on Cooper Road. While turning at a sharp left curve, investigators say he crossed into the northbound lanes, lost control and was ejected from the scooter, crashing into a ditch. Davis, who police say was not wearing a helmet, struck his head on the pavement and was pronounced dead at the scene.

U.S. 12 is back open this morning after a crash in Cass County. It happened around 9:30 last night at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Old M-205 in Edwardsburg at the Five Points Intersection. Two people were hurt after a car lost control on a curve and then ran off the road, hitting a utility pole. Driver Dustin Heldenbrand, 32, of Woodburn was taken to Elkhart General Hospital in unknown condition. Passenger Michael Richardson, 29, of Warsaw was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital in unknown condition. Alcohol was NOT believed to be a factor and seat belts were used, say police.

Kent County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene of a fatal wreck involving a semi-truck and a motorcycle in Byron Township. The wreck happened just before 10 a.m. at 84th Street and Byron Creek Drive, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies said that the motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man who was killed in the wreck, was headed west on 84th Street when a semi-truck pulled out onto the road from Byron Creek Drive. Deputies did not say who was the at-fault driver.

A teenage bicyclist was hit by an on-duty Precinct 3 deputy constable this morning in what authorities are calling an accident. The accident happened at about 6:30am on Gaston and Fry Road. Investigators say a Fort Bend County Precinct 3 deputy constable was on duty, southbound on Gaston, with a green light. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, a 9th grader at nearby Seven Lakes High School was riding her bike westbound on Fry.

A 50-year-old woman died in an accident on Route 130 South just south of Quarry Lane on Friday morning after her vehicle struck a utility pole. The fatal crash occurred at about 8:20 a.m. when the vehicle struck a utility pole, causing it to fall onto the roadway, according to police. Police closed Route 130 in both directions following the accident, according to Lt. John Haas.
