A head-on collision in eastern Missouri has left three people dead and a driver hospitalized.
The crash happened at 6:30 a.m. Friday on Missouri 185 near the Washington County town of Sullivan.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says a northbound pickup truck was passing another vehicle on a hill and collided with a southbound passenger car.
Authorities identified those killed as the driver of the car, 25-year-old Casey Edwards, and two passengers, 28-year-old Valerie Lewis and 56-year-old Shari Ryerson. All were residents of Sullivan.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 22-year-old Potosi man, was flown to a St. Louis hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
