A child riding a bike was hit by a vehicle Sunday night in east Vancouver. The child, described as either 9 or 10 years old, was struck by a car in the area of Northeast 138th Avenue and Northeast 28th Street about 9:15 p.m., according to a Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman. The child was taken to an area hospital for evaluation of injuries, police said. The driver was cooperative and showed no signs of impairment, police said. The child’s condition was not available at the time of this report.

A motorcyclist died after a collision in Everett Sunday afternoon, police said. Police responded to a report of a crash that happened in the 4900 block of northbound Evergreen Way before 3 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old motorcyclist severely injured. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. According to police, a motorcycle was traveling southbound when a vehicle was turning left, in front of the motorcycle, into the QFC parking lot. The motorcyclist tried to stop but collided with the car.
