A 19 year- old man died in a single-vehicle accident on State Route 29 south of State Route 38 around 4:40 a.m. Matthew Miller went off the road and his car hit a culvert. According to patrol, Miller was not wearing a seatbelt.

Three people are dead after an early morning wreck at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Oakwood Avenue when a vehicle tried to turn onto Oakwood and was hit by a Dodge Charger. 20-year-old Shelly Lanham was hit on the passenger side near the intersection with Oakwood Avenue. Lanham's brother, Charles, 19, and his brother-in-law, 17-year-old Cameron Blaney, were pronounced dead on the scene.

Helsinger was taken to the hospital where he was evaluated, Sgt. Tim Nash said. "He's alert and awake -- it's definitely not life-threatening. He's more banged up than anything," he said. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured, but officials transported a passenger to the hospital for minor injuries, Nash said. Alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.

A two-vehicle crash at Airport Boulevard and Dykes Road sent three people to the hospital, including a small child. Some injuries were minor and some severe. Names not yet released.

Brandon L. Hagan died after crashing on Sandy Hollow Road. He was driving west in his 2004 Honda ATV when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a guard rail. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A second ATV operator in the group, Jon A. Laclair, 27, suffered minor injuries as he landed in a ditch in an attempt to avoid Hagan.

Frascona was flying with his girlfriend, her three children and a dog. Though two of the passengers were still alive after the crash, both eventually succumbed to their injuries, leaving no survivors from the crash.
