The white car was heading southbound on Taylor Boulevard when the driver lost control and collided with a Charger heading northbound, according to Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.
The three people in the white car - a female driver and two male passengers - were pronounced dead at the scene. The two men in the Charger were transported to University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Three people are dead after an early morning wreck at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Oakwood Avenue when a vehicle tried to turn onto Oakwood and was hit by a Dodge Charger. 20-year-old Shelly Lanham was hit on the passenger side near the intersection with Oakwood Avenue. Lanham's brother, Charles, 19, and his brother-in-law, 17-year-old Cameron Blaney, were pronounced dead on the scene.
