Jacksonville, FLAccording to the Florida Highway Patrol, at least one person is dead following an accident in Palatka, Putnam County Friday at about 7 a.m. on U.S. 17 near T.R. Williams Lane. A man was driving a pickup truck south on U.S. 17 when he lost control, drifted into the median, and flipped several times. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Jacksonville, FLShortly before 3:00pm, a the driver of a southbound pickup truck struck a stop-sign, drove over the median, and hit an SUV in the northbound lanes. The collision killed the driver and a dachsund that were in the pickup, as well as a passenger in the SUV. Two other people in the SUV were also injured, the driver and another passenger who was listed in critical condition.

Jacksonville, FLA Nissan Frontier driven by Jacob Frazier, 16, was traveling northbound on US-17 in the left lane. A Toyota Camry driven by Betty Wells, 83, was stopped in the left lane of US-17 northbound. The Frontier swerved back to the left, colliding with its left front into the right rear of the Camry.

Jacksonville, FLFlorida Highway Patrol troopers say a pedestrian is dead after an accident that happened Saturday around 2:45 a.m. in Palatka.
Troopers say a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Brandon Knudsen of Satsuma, Florida hit 28-year-old Zachary Vittetow of Glen St. Mary.

Jacksonville, FLFlorida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed an eight month old child and injured six others. It happened just before 2:30 Saturday morning on U.S. 17 in Jacksonville.
Florida Highway patrol says 25 year old Preston Momin was driving a 2008 Land Rover was traveling southbound on U.S. 17 with four passengers.
As Momin attempted to make a left turn onto I-295 east beltway ramp the truck traveled into the path of a Ford Explorer traveling northbound on U.S. 17.
