Kansas City, MO2-year-old Eduardo Lopez Martinez was struck by a white four-door Chrysler on N. 32nd Street, rendering him critically injured. The vehicle fled the scene. Martinez was transported to an area hospital where he remains. Police have asked for the public's help in finding information about this incident.

Topeka, KSKrystal Smith, 26, and Cory Sheppard, 4, of New Strawn, died in a car accident Tuesday evening just outside of Waverly, Kansas in Coffey County. A 9-year-old and a 6-year-old were also injured in the crash. The incident occured on Interstate 35 on October 14 when Smith drove into the median and overcorrected, causing her SUV to flip more than once.

Topeka, KSTrenton Feliciano, 8 died at the scene of a collision between the moped he was riding with driver Marvin L. Tibbs III, 34 and a car driven by Shanna E. Medicinehourse, 19. The crash happened at 5:57 p.m. at the intersection of S.W. 3rd and Taylor in Topeka, Kansas. Tibbs suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to University of Kansas Medical Center. No charges have been filed.

Topeka, KSThe Kansas Highway Patrol says a 1-year-old child died after being hit by a car in a parking lot.
The patrol says Kael Dame of Clay Center died in the accident Monday night at the Huntress Park ball field in Clay Center.
The car driven by 58-year-old Peggy Ward, also of Clay Center, was leaving the parking lot when the accident occurred. Further details of the accident were not immediately released.
