Woman injured in rollover that left her car upside-down in 2 feet of water on North Pearl Street in Tacoma, WA

Sometime in the afternoon, an elderly woman was driving on North Pearl Street when she lost control of the vehicle, crashed through a fence, and rolled the vehicle upside-down into a rentention pond, which was about 2 feet deep. Fortunately, police and firefighters were able to rescue the woman, who apparently only sustained minor injuries.

At around 9:00am, an 80-year-old man was driving a car with three other passengers southbound on I-5 when he lost control of the vehicle and it departed the roadway and rolled over. All four occupants of the vehicle were removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, though all injuries appeared to minor. We will update this accident as more information is released.

At about 6:30 a.m., an elderly driver rolled over and crashed into a gravel pit near the 215 Beltway and Lone Mountain Road, according to Lt. Patrick Charoen. The driver was pronounced dead at scene. Authorities do not believe he was wearing a seat belt. Nicholas Petrocci, 77, dead after departing road, striking guard rail, and flipping car on SR 5 in Solvay, NY; medical emergency a likely cause

In the afternoon, Petrocci was driving on State Route 5 when his car went off the road, struck a guardrail, and flipped. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe he either suffered a medical emergency or fell asleep at the wheel.

Walter Giffin, 78, killed in single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 50 in Fremont County, Colorado

A Pueblo West man was killed in a crash in Fremont County on Thursday. The crash happened on Hwy 50, about seven miles east of Cañon City, around 11 a.m. The Colorado State Patrol says 78-year-old Walter Giffin overcorrected his car, causing it to rollover. Giffin was killed. The crash is still under investigation, but troopers don't believe alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
