The boy was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries including a fractured skull, though he is expected to survive. Police say he wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Last updates had him in an induced coma.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that a man on a motorcycle was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon after his bike left the roadway. Authorities say the driver was not wearing a helmet.

Walter was not wearing a helmet when he was ejected from his ATV and died at the scene. The truck driver who hit him had minor injuries but refused medical attention.

Two of the three girls, driver Flannagan and passenger Fullard, were thrown from the vehicle during the crash. None of the girls were wearing helmets or using safety belts. Flannagan and Fullard were taken to Shand UF in serious condition.

Other motorcyclists riding near Butts called for assistance and rendered aid until emergency crews arrived, at which point Butts was flown by Med Flight to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Police said Butts was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.

 Lee County deputy was found at fault in an accident that killed Austin Dukette, 15.  Deputy Douglas E. Hood was cited for careless driving following a two-month investigation.  Austin was riding his bike to school on August 22nd and Hood hit the back tire of the boy's bike, from behind, with his patrol car on Kismet Parkway and Northwest Seventh Avenue, in Cape Coral, FL.

Antonio Jones, 39, died in the wreck on County Road 270 in Town Creek approximately six miles outside of Danville. Jones wasn't wearing a helmet when he hit a tree.

Jessica Hartsfield was hit head-on by a truck at around 8:30 p.m. while trying to turn left from Middle Road onto Allison Lane. Officers are interviewing witnesses to determine who had the right-of-way at the traffic light. Hartsfield was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where she died. No one in the truck was injured. It is not believed that Hartsifled was weaing a helmet.
