Firefighters were called to free a person from the 2700 block of Southbay Road NE shortly after 6 a.m. following a rollever crash. The accident also downed Puget Sound Energy power lines. The injured person is at the hospital in unknown condition. Few details are available at this time.

The Harrisonburg Police Department reports a car accident Friday evening led to a power outage in parts of the city. 33-year-old Randy Lee Rexrode was arrested and charged with DUI and property damage. Rexrode was injured, taken to Sentara RMH Medical Center, and was later sent to jail.

A man is in recovery at the San Antonio Military Medical Center after he was hit by a car Friday night. Police said the accident occured around 9 p.m. near Loop 410 and Starcrest Drive. Authorities said a man driving a black car rear-ended another vehicle and caused them to crash into a telephone pole. Crews cleaning up the accident said the crash caused the transformers to blowout resulting in a five hour power outage. Authorities said the driver of the black car was intoxicated and has been arrested for DWI.

A Hawaiian Electric crew is doing repairs affecting service to customers along Diamond Head Road. At 3:15 p.m., Honolulu police received a call of a vehicle hitting a telephone pole which caused it to lean. The pole needs to be replaced, and in the meantime, 245 customers are without power. The repair crew is trying to reroute power and get electric service back to those customers. Because of the accident and repair work, HPD have closed Diamond Head Road in both directions between Leahi Beach Park and Coconut Avenue.

After the plane hit the power lines and crashed into a vineyard, its passengers were both transported to a local hospital. One of them, an 80-year-old man, suffered injuries including to one leg.

A semi truck slammed into a home in Cahokia Wednesday morning. Authorities say the driver of the truck was traveling in the area of Rte. 3 and E. 5th St. around 8:15 a.m. when he lost control and crashed into the house. The truck also crashed into utility poles, leaving about 1,300 people in the area without power. Ameren Illinois officials say they hoped to have the power restored by Wednesday evening. No injuries were reported. The extent of the damage to the house was not immediately known.

A big-rig that took out traffic signals on Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose Tuesday morning has prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig-alert for the affected area. The incident involved a wide-load big rig hauling a portable building and was reported at 6:32 a.m. on Stevens Creek Boulevard at North Monroe Street, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said. As of 6:50 a.m., westbound Stevens Creek Boulevard from southbound Interstate Highway 880 was closed to due power lines down in the roadway, according to Anderson.
