One woman, 19, injured critically and one man, 85, was killed in a two-vehincle crash in  Crawford County.  Two people have died and another was critically injured in a two-car crash on a wet highway in Crawford County of southwestern Wisconsin. The young Eastman woman was driving  southbound when her car hydroplaned and spun into the oncoming lane, where it was hit by a car driven by an 85-year-old man from Tomah. The woman was transported to a La Crosse hospital in critical condition. The Eastman woman died at the scene.

According to police, 18-year-old Connor Dipzinski was eastbound in a Ford pickup on Knapp Street NE near Egypt Valley Drive when he lost control on the wet road, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, and struck a westbound pickup driven by 93-year-old Rex Baird at around 4:30 p.m. Baird died at the scene, while his wife, 91-year-old Frances Baird, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Dipzinski was brought to the hospital with minor injuries.

Heavy rain was falling when 34-year-old Amy Harris was driving west on M-46 at about 3:30 p.m., and she began to enter the oncoming lane. Harris then collided with an eastbound car driven by Larry Moore, 73, leaving her and Larry's wife Janice Moore, 70, dead at the scene. Larry was seriously injured and brought to the hospital. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor, with the poor weather and road conditions thought to be probable contributors.

At 10:51am, Bailey was driving a pickup truck north on Highway 51 when she drifted into oncoming traffic, possibly due to slippery conditions, and collided with a southbound vehicle. Bailey's car was then struck by another northbound vehicle, and she died from the collisions. The southbound driver was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.

A 2-month-old child and a pair of adults dodged death when a passing driver clipped their car on an icy road near Klamath Falls on Wednesday and sent both vehicles flying into an irrigation canal, police said. Howard Kingman, of Sisters, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe north on U.S. 97 around 1:05 p.m. when he tried to pass a Toyota Prius near milepost 264, Oregon State Police said. The 70-year-old driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck the Prius, which carried Robert Burton, 56, Bree Burton, 20, and her infant son, police said.
