Officials believe a wrong-way driver who died in a head-on crash on the northbound 15 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga may have been suicidal. The collision occurred shortly after 5:18 a.m., when the motorist, driving a Toyota Prius, entered the freeway south of Baseline Road driving in the wrong direction, hitting a semi-truck, which caught on fire. Witnesses to the accident indicated that the driver may have been suicidal. The Prius driver has not been identified, and the truck driver's condition is unknown.

 Two children, girls ages 4 and 7 were critically injured and their mother, the front passenger was killed, in a collision when a car heading westbound crossed over into the eastbound lanes of Vance Jackson Road in San Antonio, Texas and struck them head-on.  The children's father was driving and sustained minor injuries.  The cause of the crash has not yet been determined but is believed to be related to a medical issue sustained by the driver of the car causing the collision.

The 82-year-old man who was driving the correct way was killed, though his wife only sustained non-life threatening injuries. The erratic driver was taken to Aurora Hospital but also only had non-life threatening injuries. Investigators believe that the man may have been suffering from a medical condition while he was driving.

Two women from Oklahoma who were killed in a fiery crash on the Kansas Turnpike in south Wichita on Tuesday night have been identified, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority. Lori Uchiyama, 38, of Blackwell and her passenger, 33-year-old Elizabeth Goodno of Ponca City, were driving north on the turnpike at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday when their Pontiac G-6 was hit by a Ford F-150 south of the exit for 47th Street South. Uchiyama and Goodno died at the scene.

57-year-old Barry Scutt from Batavia is dead following a wrong-way crash in Canandaigua on Saturday. The accident happened on Route 5 around 3 p.m. when 68-year-old Steven Kloos was driving west on Route 5 when he lost control and blacked out at the wheel due to a medical condition. Kloos then struck a mailbox and road sign with his car according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office. Kloos' vehicle then continued westbound on Route 5 in the eastbound lane and struck 57 year old Barry Scutt head on.
