It was about 10:45 p.m. when a car ran a red light in Arlington at 172nd Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard and struck a police car, before driving away from the scene. The officer in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, treated, and released. The two men in the hit-and-run vehicle have turned themselves in, and are now identified as Rodrigo Loyola-Vasquez, 19, and Martin A. Castro-Ponce, 18.

Murad Khan was riding his bike on the sidewalk when the crash happened. He was transported to a local hospital, where doctors said he does not have life threatening injuries.
