A school bus driver had a medical emergency and crashed in the parking lot of the Maple Grove Junior-Senior High School in the Town of Ellery about 7:58 a.m. Friday. No school children were on the bus at the time. Three parked cars were struck by the bus before it stopped in a snow bank, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department.

A Sumner County school bus was involved in a fatal crash Thursday afternoon as it dropped a student off at a bus stop. The bus had recently left Bethpage Elementary School before the wreck on Highway 31. The bus had nine students on board when it had its flashing lights on, stop sign out and door open to let a child off, according to Sumner County Sheriff's Office investigators. A truck hauling a trailer then rear-ended the bus. The driver of the truck, 55-year-old David Trembly, of Scottsville, KY, was killed in the collision.

A school bus has been involved in an accident in Franklin Township Thursday afternoon. Dispatchers said the accident happened in the 7400 block of Franklin-Madison Road around 4 p.m. Ohio State Patrol Troopers were at the scene and one car hit another and that car rear-ended the school bus. A district official said the school bus belongs to the Madison Local School District. The Madison Local Schools, said there were six students on the bus at the time of the accident. The accident happened toward the end of the route and another bus was called to the scene.

3 people died in a crash involving a school bus in Live Oak County Thursday morning. According to officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety, a van crashed into a Three Rivers ISD school bus on Highway 72 just before 7 a.m. The three people killed were riding in the van, a DPS official said. Four other people inside the van were also injured. No children on board the bus were injured, although some kids were checked out at school or transported to a hospital by parents, according to DPS. A DPS official said driver fatigue may be to blame in the crash.

Pittsburgh police are investigating a crash that sent four high school students to the hospital. It happened at Waterman Avenue and Hopeland in Carrick around 8 a.m. Thursday. We're told the students all suffered minor injuries and were taken to Children's Hospital to be evaluated. The school van driver also went to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the other car, Luke Milliron, had some cuts on his face but is doing okay. "Ears are ringing a little bit, head hurts a little bit. Besides that, I'm alright," Milliron said.

More than a dozen Riverview Garden students were on a school bus that crashed in south St. Louis Wednesday morning. Authorities say the wreck happened near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Gasconade around 8:30 a.m. Police say about 20 students were onboard the bus, but none were injured. The student were on their way to the Mehlville School District.

A school bus driver was swaying with poor balance and smelling of alcohol when Winona County authorities responded to a crash. The bus, with five children on board, had gone off the wrong side of Fern Valley Road near Altura and crashed into trees. Karl A. Herber, 54, of Rollingstone, Minn., was charged with three counts of drunken driving and child endangerment after registering a .09 blood-alcohol level when tested more than two hours after the crash Tuesday afternoon, the Winona County Chief Deputy.

Two school buses from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System have crashed Monday afternoon in Clarksville, and several students have minor injuries. According to Clarksville police, one bus crashed into the rear of another bus near the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and Tiny Town Road about 2:45 p.m. Police said about a dozen students were injured, and a representative for the school system said all of the injuries are minor. Two students have been transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. School officials are working to inform the parents of those involved.

Oberlin Police and fire responded to an accident involving two school buses at approximately 12:04 p.m. Thursday. Students from Lorain County JVS were being transported back to school from a field trip when the accident occurred. 69 people were on the bus, mostly students. One school bus rear-ended the other bus, causing the accident. The accident happened in front of the Oberlin fire station, making it easy for fire crews to respond.

Emergency officials are on the scene of an accident involving a school bus on MoPac Expressway. Austin-Travis County EMS said it happened at 1300 North MoPac Expressway near Enfield Road. EMS officials said the occupant of the car was transported to University Medical Center-Brackenridge with serious injuries. There were no reports of students injured on the bus. Two southbound lanes are closed near Lake Austin Boulevard due to the crash.
