Wynter Spencer was driving on Highway 195 when her car drove onto the northbound shoulder and she overcorrected, crossing the southbound lanes, then rolling over and coming to a rest in a field on the side of the road. She was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the cause of the crash was distracted riving and negligent driving charges will be filed.

Authorities are currently investigating a three-vehicle accident that has sent four people to the hospital on Highway 195. The accident occured when one of the vehicles had a trailer with a car attached to it when the car that was being pulled behind swerved and hit a vehicle and the vehicle traveling behind the one that was hit rear-ended the car in front of it. Two of the people were trapped in one of the vehicles and were rescued by fire officials. We will update this story as more information becomes available

Two people, later identified as Nancy Zepeda Zarate and Ashley Marie Gonzalez, both students and Eastern Washington University, were killed in a vehicle collision involving a semi just before 5 a.m. Friday near Colfax, the Washington State Patrol said. Southbound lanes of Highway 195 are blocked as crews investigate and work to clear the scene. Medstar was launched for other serious injuries from the accident. A WSP Trooper said there were four occupants of the passenger vehicle struck by the semi.

Vehicular assault charges are pending against a Clarkston woman after an accident Wednesday night on state Highway 195 north of Rosalia. Savanna Brown, 26, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when her Gray 2007 Chrysler sedan crossed the centerline and hit a Chevrolet pickup driven by Alan Evans, 60, of Oakesdale. Brown was injured and taken to Deaconess Medical Center. Authorities do not know whether she was wearing a seat belt. Evans’ passenger, Randi Evans, 64, who was wearing a seat belt, was injured and also taken to Deaconess.
