Police investigating fatal crash north of Rosalia

Washington State Patrol reports at least one person is dead following a two car crash one mile north of Rosalia on Highway 195. WSP reports the highway is fully blocked Friday evening but an alternative route is available via Old State Highway 195. 

Drivers, passengers involved in fatal 195 crash identified

We're learning new information about a fatal crash that happened Friday evening on Highway 195 near the town of Rosalia. Washington State Patrol has identified the victims of that crash Saturday morning. Washington State Patrol reports alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Her passenger, identified as 18-year-old Sidney Z. Ritter, was injured and airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in critical condition. Joseph Jacobs had two passengers in his truck at the time of the crash.

Family remembers WSU student killed in crash

She was a freshman a WSU and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. The Washington State Patrol confirms 20-year-old Washington State University student Morgan Cope died in a head-on collision on Hwy 26 Sunday afternoon. A different crash on Hwy 195 sent one girl to the hospital and killed 18-year-old Christine Hunter. Christine's friend, WSU student Sidney Ritter, was a passenger in her car. In the span of three days, two Washington State University students were killed while driving home for Thanksgiving Break.

One WSU student dead, one injured in crash

Early reports of the accident indicate the vehicle crossed the enter line, for  reasons unknown, and hit an oncoming truck carrying three passengers. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident, according to the press release.

There are no indications that alcohol was involved, Sevigney said.
