The motorcyclist rear-ended a Toyota Corolla driven by a 32-year-old Edmonds man. The 65 year-old victim later died from his injuries at a local hospital. A Vancouver man driving a motorcycle died in a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 just south of Ridgefield, and two other drivers were hospitalized. The collision occurred around 1 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway under the Carty Road overpass. A Ford F-250 pickup driven by Eldon L. Ford, 33, of Ontario, Ore., slowed to pull onto the right shoulder and was struck from behind by a Honda CR-V driven by Wanda K. Dodd, 48, of Bellingham. Dodd then lost control of her vehicle and struck a Harley-Davison motorcycle driven in the middle lane by Dennis G.

Troopers were investigating a crash involving a motorcycle on southbound I-5 Thursday afternoon. The motorcyclist was thrown onto the northbound shoulder at 12:37 p.m., just north of the Snohomish River near Everett. Police believe the man, 30, of Selah, somehow lost control of his motorcycle. Witnesses reported seeing the man making abrupt lane changes for about 10 miles before the crash. The man was taken to a local hospital with a foot injury. He is under investigation for speeding and reckless driving.

A 44-year-old man died after he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a guard rail on the Michigan Street off ramp on southbound Interstate 5 early Sunday.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the man was traveling at a high-rate of speed when he struck the barrier and was thrown from his black 1987 Honda.

The accident happened at 1:20 a.m. The patrol said the off ramp was closed for two-and-a-half hours.
