Phillip Rodenschmit was riding on a motorcycke on County Road KP around 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the bike on a curve and crashed. He was thrown from the bike and hit his head. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist,  67-year-old Jack David Vanveckhoven was not wearing helmet around 8:30 a.m. when he failed to navigate a left-turn corner at Mile 109.6 of the Parks Highway. This caused him to veer off the road and overturn, crashing the motorcycle. Vanveckhoven remains in severe condition.

23-year-old Jessie Sheren was riding a motorcycle with his cousin, David Mohran, on Texoma parkway when a car pulled out in front of them. The motorcycle struck the side of the car, and Sheren was critically injrued. He was taken to the Medical Center of Plano by medical helicopter. Police say he was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man, was not injured.

Paul Tarr was riding a motorcycle estbound on River Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and it went off the road way, struck an embankment, and crashed. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by ambulance and is expected to be transfered to a hospital in Bangor. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Clarence H. Pistorius was riding a four-wheeler in eastern South Dakota at about 8 p.m. on a rural street when his tires lost traction on the shoulder of the road and rolled. The 700-pound machine pinned him underneath, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the vehicle was speeding at the time of the accident and that Pistorius was not wearing a helmet.

A Franklinton woman riding an ATV died Wednesday after she disregarded a traffic signal and was struck by a car, State Police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Louisiana highways 450 and 16, State Police said. Cynamon A. Warden, 21, died of injuries at Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans. State Police said the collision happened around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday after Warden, who was driving the Kawasaki four-wheeler on Louisiana 450, disregarded a flashing stop sign and red signal light as she crossed Louisiana 16.
