A Waunakee man was killed in a single-motorcycle crash between Black Earth and Cross Plains Thursday afternoon, Dane County officials said.
Phillip Rodenschmit was riding on a motorcycke on County Road KP around 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the bike on a curve and crashed. He was thrown from the bike and hit his head. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.
