Nashville, TNA long holiday weekend has ended in tragedy after a Cheatham County man was killed when his four-wheeler plunged down a ravine.
Wade Glick, 37, went for a ride Monday evening and somehow lost control of his ATV off Leatherwood Road.
"We talked a little bit, and then he got on a four-wheeler and rode down, rode away," said his father, Dave Glick.
Two hours after his son left, Dave Glick said police knocked at his door and gave him the awful news.

Louisville, KYPolice say 38-year old William Duitz was driving his ATV in the driveway in the 3800 of Monty Drive when for unknown reasons it went off the driveway and fell over a concrete embankment. The ATV fell about six feet and Duitz was thrown from the vehicle, and he died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Memphis, TNA Sunday afternoon accident involving an all-terrain vehicle and an SUV killed a 93-year-old man from Ripley, Mississippi.
Leroy Derrick, a retired constable, was trying to cross Highway 4 near County Road 548 on his ATV when he drove into the path of the SUV.
The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials say Derrick died on the scene. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

Philadelphia, PAA Greene County teenager was killed Sunday when his all-terrain vehicle hit a tree, the coroner’s office said.
The victim was identified as Samuel Thomas Young, 17, of Wayne.
The accident occurred on Bell Run Road in Wayne at 2:20 p.m., state police said.

New York, NYA man ripping down a Bronx street on an all-terrain vehicle was killed Saturday when he struck an SUV, officials said. The man, identified by his uncle as Anthony Perez, 33, was riding the blue Yamaha ATV and trying to pass a Ford Explorer that was making a turn into an underground garage on Broadway near W. 259th St. in Riverdale at 5:30 p.m. Witnesses said the ATV driver hit the SUV and was thrown from his vehicle. The quad landed upside-down on the sidewalk next to the man’s helmet. Paramedics rushed Perez to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers, where he died of his injuries.

Springfield-Holyoke, MALudlow police say a 27-year-old Belchertown man was killed early Saturday morning when the all terrain vehicle he was riding on Miller Street in Ludlow overturned and landed on top of him.
Ludlow Police Sgt. David Belanger said Thomas Brown was transported to the Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Juneau, AKA 34-year-old Juneau man has been found dead near a Tenakee Springs accident site.
Juneau radio station KINY reports Alaska State Troopers identified the victim as James Russell Vavalis.
Troopers say he was found Sunday morning near a flipped over four-wheeler on the beach at Graveyard Point, just east of Tenakee Springs.
Troopers spokeswoman tells Anchorage television station KTUU that it wasn't immediately known when the accident happened. He had been helping family members in the area build a cabin, and was last seen about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Salt Lake City, UTA man found dead Thursday in an ATV crash in the West Canyon area of Utah County has been identified as 63-year-old Michael Boren, of Lehi.
Boren appeared to have been driving out of the right fork of the canyon when his ATV ran up an embankment and he was thrown to the ground, Utah’s Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon said. He said the vehicle rolled and came to rest on Boren, who was face down on the ground.

Savannah, GAAuthorities say a 30-year-old Hinesville man died in an all-terrain-vehicle wreck.
Police say Dwayne Cornell Chapman was riding an ATV in Walthourville just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and struck a tree.
Police say Chapman wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury when he was thrown from the ATV.
Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Birmingham, ALA Maddox Middle School eighth-grader died late Sunday night from injuries she sustained in an ATV crash earlier in the day.
Gracie Abbott, 13, was airlifted to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham after the accident, which happened near Old Glory Drive, just off Fall City Road.
Abbott was driving the ATV but lost control and the vehicle flipped, throwing Abbott and two of her cousins from the vehicle, officials said.
Abbott was airlifted to the hospital with a severe head injury, but efforts to revive her failed.
