A Valero gas station in Fort Worth, Texas was the scene of an accident Friday. The station at West Freeway and Taxco was damaged after a van smashed into a support column. The van was getting off Interstate 30 when it lost control and crashed into the pillar at approximately 8:30. There were no injuries, however it is believed that icy conditions caused the accident.

At about 12:30am, Hanson's car departed the roadway, flipped over, and came to rest upside-down against a utility-pole. Though Hanson was wearing a seat belt, he died as a result of the crash. The accident is still under investigation, but hazardous road conditions such a black ice are believed to be contributing factors.

At about 7:00pm, a 17-year-old driver was traveling at a high-speed on wet roads. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle, strike a curb, followed by a brick fence, and finally come to rest with the vehicle upside-down. The crash killed a 16-year-old passenger in the car, and injured the 17-year-old enough to warrant them being airlifted to the hospital. At around 1:40pm, a Honda Civic travelling northbound was passing vehicles when it lost control on the wet road and veered off to the left. First, the car struck a utility pole, and the passengers, an 18-year-old man and 16-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle. Next, the car continued and crashed into a house, ejecting the 17-year-old male driver. Both of the male victims were pronounced dead on arrival, and the female victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, though is now in stable condition.

The Wickliffe Police Department responded to a reported car accident Sunday morning at the Shell gas station. Upon arrival, police found 34-year-old Benjamin Scholes at the scene of the accident. Scholes admitting to losing control of his vehicle on a patch of ice. Scholes' blood alcohol content was a .189. He was arrested and charged with OVI failure to control. He was released after posting a $3,500 bond. Police say the canopy of the gas station and gas pump received extensive damage from the crash.
