Huntsville-Decatur, AL44-year-old Jeffery Wayne Robinson was allegedly speeding south on Jordan Lane at approximately 4:30 a.m. when he veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole at the intersection with Oakwood Avenue. Both Robinson and his 24-year-old female passenger, identified as Amberely Nichole Maclin, sustained injuries described as life-threatening, and were transported to the hospital where they are listed in serious to critical condition.

Birmingham, ALWilliam Fredrick Evans Jr. was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed on Highway 31 at 10:50 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a traffic sign, then crossed Morris Majestic Road and hit a tree. Witnesses believe he may have been experiencing a medical emergency at the time of the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
