Wednesday, April 22, 2015A car was southbound on Holman Road Wednesday afternoon when it lost control, drove over the center median, hit a light pole, and finlly a tree. The 17-year old male driver was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 17-year-old passenger was killed. We'll update this story as new details emerge.

Los Angeles, CAThough all passengers were wearing seat belts, two men and one woman were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. One man had life-threatening injuries and another man had minor injuries, and both were airlifted to local hospitals.
“It was an off-road area and the driver was apparently doing some kind of off-road style driving and lost control of his vehicle,” CHP Officer Eric Priessman said. “We don’t know if alcohol played a role in the crash, but we are still looking at that possibility.”

Thursday, January 9, 2014A teenage girl died and another was injured in a high-speed wreck on an isolated street near the Port of Oakland early Friday morning, an area known for illegal street racing.
Police officers responding to reports of an accident just after midnight on the 500 block of Maritime Street found that a vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a pole, officials said.
The girls in the vehicle, both 17-year-olds from outside Oakland, were taken to a hospital, where the driver, who has been identified as Kaitlyn Benson, was later pronounced dead.
