Washington, DCA 90-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car Wednesday as she walked near the Southwest Waterfront, officials say.
Frances Margaret Parsons, 90, was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon while she walked near the access ramp of a parking garage in the 700 block of 7th Street SW.
Parsons was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away.

The accident occurred near the entrance to a parking garage at Town Square Towers at 7th and G streets SW about 3:15 p.m., police said. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead, said a police spokesman.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash. The dog was not injured, police said.
