New Orleans, LAJohn Alexander was riding in a pickup truck driven by 29-year-old Isaac Nelson, who was reportedly intoxicated and driving "recklessly above the posted speed limit." Nelson struck a parked car, causing the truck to become airborne and crash. Alexander was not able to be freed from the vehicle before he succumbed to his injuries. Nelson was arrested and booked into jail with his bond set at $100,000. His hearing is scheduled for Januray 5th.

New Orleans, LAA Loranger man was booked with vehicular homicide and other charges Friday night following a single vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish that killed his passenger. Steve Savoie, 28, was arrested and booked in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail in Amite with careless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run, suspended license and vehicular homicide in an accident that claimed the life of 35-year-old Adam Capdeboscq from Husser, La. The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. on Louisiana 443 north of U.S. 190 when Savoie lost control of the 1997 Dodge pickup truck he was driving at high speed.
