Washington, DCAmy Riggs was driving a grey Subaru east on Darnestown road when a Ford F-250 crossed the centerline and struck Rigss' vehicle head-on. The F-250 rolled several times and hit a Kia Sorento before coming to a stop. Riggs sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of F-250, Kenneth Bynaker Jr., suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the Sorento, Christine Goldstein, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Baltimore, MDHoward County police report that the driver of a car attempted to round a curve too quickly Tuesday morning, possibly hitting ice or snow on the southbound shoulder of Route 97 before re-entering the roadway, where it struck a pick-up with a snow plow attached. The car driver was killed, later identified as Zeyu Zhang of Timonium.

Baltimore, MDRabbi Dovid Winiarz of Staten Island was killed when the driver of the Honda CR-V he was traveling in lost control on Route 23 in Harford County, Maryland and collided with another vehicle at around 8:10 a.m., according to Maryland State Police.
