Cenate, 75, was driving a semi-truck loaded with crushed stone and was headed south on the Northway, when he ended up side-swiping a vehicles that was in the lane to his right. The collision sent Cenate's truck to the left, where it struck the median guardrail and flipped over. He was declared dead at the scene. The car, driven by Chantale LaBelle, 48, rotated into the right shoulder. She sustained some minor injuries, and her three passengers were not hurt.

Buffalo, NYDonna M. Kline and an unidentified relative were riding on Griffith Road when her car struck a pothole, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. The car overturned in a ditch on the shoulder of the road. Both were taken to Noyes Hospital in Dansville for the treatment of their injuries, deemed non-life threatening.

Syracuse, NYIn the afternoon, Petrocci was driving on State Route 5 when his car went off the road, struck a guardrail, and flipped. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe he either suffered a medical emergency or fell asleep at the wheel.
