Norman police are investigating a single-vehicle injury collision. Officers say a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling west in the 2600 block of West Main Street about 1 a.m. Tuesday when it collided with a concrete barrier on the north side of the roadway at the intersection at North Interstate Drive East.

Investigators said the vehicle then left the roadway into the center median and rolled in a construction zone. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected, according to police.

A 43-year-old Oklahoma City man was killed in a collision in McClain County on Interstate 44 while trying to make an improper u-turn, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The man's name has been withheld pending notification of relatives, the patrol reports.

The fatal collision occurred about 10:10 p.m. Monday in the westbound lanes of the interstate at mile marker 104.

Phillip Rankin 58, of Pryor, was driving about 3 p.m. Jan. 3 northbound on County Road 435 near Adair. Rankin's car failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by a pickup driven by Tristan Dilldine, 18, of Strang. Rankin's car then hit a wrecker driven by Michael Doane, 32, of Pryor, troopers said.

Rankin was pinned in his car for about 30 minutes. He and his passenger, Deloris Ward, 49, of Spavinaw, were taken to hospitals. Rankin died in the hospital about noon Thursday, troopers said.

An Oklahoma City man died Wednesday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 40 in Caddo County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. About 5:10 p.m., Kevin Kizarr, 43, was driving west on I-40 when he went off the road at an exit about five miles north of Hinton. He drove up the embankment and the sport utility vehicle rolled, according to a patrol report. Kizarr died at the scene, troopers said. He was not wearing a seat belt.

A Waynoka man died after his vehicle collided with a passing train Monday. Michael Linn Weber, 47, was killed about 5:05 p.m. Monday as he was driving south on County Road 480, a half mile east of County Road 470 in Woods County. He passed over railroad tracks at an unguarded crossing and was hit by an oncoming train that had 88 cars. Weber was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Oklahoma City police are looking for anyone who witnessed traffic fatality Friday to call police to be interviewed. Vickie Ayres, 66, was driving about 6:40 p.m. Friday on a bridge in the 8500 block of NW 39 Expressway near Lake Overholser when numerous vehicles lost control as the bridge iced over, police said. Ayres died in the multi-vehicle crash. The accident is still under investigation and investigators believe that many people who may have witnessed the crash were not interviewed by police because of the inclement weather, police said.

A Vici man died Thursday in a wreck on U.S. 270 in Dewey County, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said.

Michael D. Morris, 33, was declared dead at the scene of the wreck about 6:40 p.m. just southeast of Oakwood.

Morris was driving a sport utility vehicle northwest on U.S. 270 when he crossed the center line. Margie M. Palmer, 48, of Tampa, Fla., was driving a tractor-trailer in the southeast-bound lane. She swerved to avoid Morris, but the tractor-trailer collided with the driver's side door of the SUV.

A 13-year-old girl was hit and struck by a passing vehicle on Wednesday as she darted across a five-lane highway, Miami Police said.

Austina Barton, of Miami, died at Baptist Integris Hospital. Barton was trying to get across North Main Street and it was dark outside. One vehicle swerved to miss her and the second vehicle hit her, police said.

A 20-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after the vehicle she was in flipped four times on U.S. 169 near 51st Street, Tulsa police said.

Samantha Ruvalcaba was killed in the crash, which happened about 1:13 p.m., said the Tulsa Police Department's traffic safety coordinator.

Ruvalcaba was a passenger in the vehicle, which was cut off by another vehicle, causing the driver to over-correct. The driver of the vehicle Ruvalcaba was in is being treated at Saint Francis Hospital and is expected to be OK, police said.

Authorities say one person was killed during a police pursuit in Seminole County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the incident happened early Sunday on Seminole County Road EW 119. A preliminary report says a police officer had been chasing a vehicle for several miles when the vehicle lost control and rolled several times.

Authorities say the driver was thrown from the car and was run over by the police vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
