Pittsburgh, PADavid K. Cooper was driving a backhoe on McCleary Road when the machine veered onto the grass shoulder and hit a wooden post, then overturned. Cooper was partially thrown from the backhoe when it fell on its side. He sustained fatal injuries. The accident is still under investigation.

Friday, May 29, 2015David E. Cunningham was operating a backhoe on his own property on Schoolhouse Road when he lost control of the machine and it went down an embankment. The machine pinned him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details are available at this time.

Pittsburgh, PAA husband and wife from Hanover died Sunday evening when a backhoe operated by a teenager drove into the path of their car on Route 116 in Heidelberg Township, York County, Southwestern Regional Police said.
Police identified the victims Monday as Roy Kline Jr., 86, and his 85-year-old wife, Lorraine. They did not identify the 17-year-old who was operating the backhoe and who lives near the scene of the accident. The investigation of the crash is continuing, police said.
