It was shortly after 8:00am when a pickup truck carrying three people collided with an oncoming pickup truck carrying two people on Highway 200. Four people sustained serious injuries in the crash and had to be flown to the hospital by medical helicopters, and one person sustained less severe injuries and was taken via ambulance. We will add more details to this accident as information is released.

An 18-year-old was driving on McIlwain Road near Heath Springs around 11 p.m. Sunday, when he ran off the right side of the road, over corrected, and struck a tree. Early reports indicate the driver was a male, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

47-year-old Grace Hutto Goodwin is dead after being hit by a pick-up truck Saturday. The incident took place shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday on a private property off Highway 200. The location is about 4 miles south of Great Falls in Fairfield County. The woman was hit by a 1999 Ford F-550 work truck being driven her 42-year-old boyfriend. Goodwin lived at the property where the accident occurred and died of injuries sustained in the accident.

The three Charlotte residents killed Friday night in a three-car collision on I-77 have been identified as Tei Paw, 40; Khai Hne, 33; and Khai Tlo, 33; all three were passengers in the Honda Pilot involved in the crash. Four other people injured in the crash were transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The bus driver was not injured. The drivers of the Honda Accord and the Honda Pilot were taken to a hospital in Charlotte, along with two other passengers in the Pilot. According to the Highway Patrol, one of those killed was wearing a seatbelt but the other two were not.

Classmates and friends in Rock Hill are remembering a 16-year-old who died when he lost control of his car and struck a light pole and two trees.

Officials have identified the victim as Frankie Adams. He was a junior at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill.

Friends and classmates of Adams say everyone knew him here at Northwestern High School, that's why his death has touched many around campus on Friday.

"When you walk past students, all they're talking about is him and all of the devastation in our school is just terrible," said student Danielle Dease.

Emergency officials responded to a car accident on a South Carolina highway Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck happened just before 6:30 on Doby Bridge Road near Highway 521 in Fort Mill.

A woman, later identified as 36-year-old Jaclyn Pobiega, was killed in the crash.

Officials have not said what may have led to the accident or released any other names involved.

One person is dead after a wreck in York County. According to the highway patrol, the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Dobys Bridge Road. Troopers say William Taylor, 32, was driving east on Dobys Bridge Road, when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a Volkswagen head-on. The 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. Taylor was not injured. This accident remains under investigation.

One person was killed in an accident on a busy Rock Hill road Monday.

The wreck happened before 5 p.m. on Celanese Road. Officials confirmed that one person was killed in the collision.

Celanese Road was closed in both directions while crews worked the scene.

Drivers were being diverted onto Cherry Road.

Officials have not said what may have led to the accident, or if others were injured.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

An 18-wheeler hit and killed a little boy as he rode a dirt bike his parents gave him for Christmas. Seven-year-old Tristan Mericle died after a tractor-trailer struck him Tuesday evening. Troopers and say the seven-year-old was riding a dirt bike in his front yard and drove onto Highway 97, right into the path of the big rig, as he tried to turn the bike around.

One person died early Sunday morning in a one vehicle fatal wreck at the intersection of Fewell Road and SC 274 in York County, troopers say. The wreck occurred around 12:22 a.m. when the driver of a 2006 Ford Pickup truck struck an embankment according to South Carolina Highway Patrol. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. The driver died at the scene, SCHP says. The wreck happened about eight miles outside of Clover.
