It was about 1:35 a.m. when a car containing three people veered off of a service road near the Southwest Freeway and struck a pole, which caused the car to combust. All three of the people inside were killed by the ensuing flames.

At about 7:00pm, a 17-year-old driver was traveling at a high-speed on wet roads. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle, strike a curb, followed by a brick fence, and finally come to rest with the vehicle upside-down. The crash killed a 16-year-old passenger in the car, and injured the 17-year-old enough to warrant them being airlifted to the hospital.
