Speed and weather appeared to play a role in a crash that left five teenage girls injured -- two of them critically-- in Orange County late Saturday, officials said. Authorities responded just before 11 p.m. when a 2006 Mercury C230 hit a curb, went up an embankment and struck a tree on Melinda Road in Rancho Santa Margarita, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Orange County Fire Authority. Zack Davis, 18 years old, passed away Monday night. He was involved in a 6 car accident on the interchange between Highway 16 and I-5. The road was icy at the time. Mr. Davis's car was rear-ended while he was still in his car. The driver of that car will be cited. What money damages are recoverable in a death claim? Every death from an accident is tragic. When a death is the result of someone else’s negligence, certain survivors may make a wrongful death claim against those responsible.
