The driver went off the highway after losing control of the vehicle, hitting an embankment before rolling over several times. Both adults were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The 2-year-old child was not injured during the crash.

Detroit, MIA 9-year-old girl died Monday after being hit by a car outside of the Ruth Eriksson Elementary School in Canton. Canton police and firefighters responded to the accident around 8:30 a.m. at the school at 1275 N. Haggerty Road. Police believe the young girl might have attempted to regain entry into her vehicle and was subsequently struck as the vehicle pulled away. Canton paramedics transported the child to the University of Michigan Hospital, where she later died.

Detroit, MIA man from Byron Center was killed in a three-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the east side of the state.
Dick Allen Versendaal, 76, was killed when his SUV hit a pickup truck around 3:30 p.m. on Van Dyke Avenue in Bruce Township, which is about 40 miles north of Detroit.
Witnesses said Versendaal was driving the wrong way on the street when hit the pickup head-on, according to Michigan State Police.

Thursday, February 6, 2014Five elementary school students were hospitalized after one school bus rear-ended another in Washtenaw County this morning.
The Lincoln Consolidated Schools buses crashed at Whittaker and Bemis roads in Augusta Township about 8:42 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Columbus, OHA woman and her 1-year-old child were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Union County Thursday afternoon.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash involving two passenger vehicles and a semi on state Route 31, just south of state Route 739, at about 2:40 p.m.
