Harlan Loga has been arrested and charged with several offenses on Friday night after attempting to flee from an OVI checkpoint and crashing his vehicle in the process. Authorities enforced the checkpoint on Montgomery Road. Logan had been signaled to stop by police, but fled the scene while speeding, lost control of his vehicle and crashed, and attempted to escape out of his car window. Authorities arrested Logan soon after the incident.

William Edward Sandstrom, 39, of Elizabethtown, was arrested Sunday near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania after he lost control of his vehicle and it rolled. The incident occured around 1:00 a.m. on October 19 when Sanstrom, who was driving drunk at a high speed and assaulting his female passenger, crashed at the intersection of Linglestown Road and Crooked Hill Road. Sanstrom was arrested with charges of assault, DUI, reckless driving, and driving at an unsafe speed. He was released on $5,000 unsecure bail.

One woman is dead and two men injured, including a sheriff's deputy, after a head-on collision in west Harris County, Texas. The incident occured around 3:00 a.m. Friday morning in the 15300 block of Clay Road next to North Eldridge Parkway when the deputy was driving a marked squad car eastbound on Clay Road. It was then that Ford Fusion slammed into the squad car travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes. Deputy D. Johnson, 37, was flown to Memorial Hermann/The Texas Medical Center with a broken leg and other injuries.

Aided by a witness who followed a hit-and-run driver, police arrested a Youngstown woman on a variety of charges early Saturday stemming from an accident on the Robert Moses Parkway. According to reports, the suspect struck a car driven by a Youngstown man around 5:30 a.m., then drove away from the scene. A witness to the accident followed the fleeing driver, and sheriff’s deputies were able to stop her car on Blairville Road a short time later. Carole R. Rossi displayed signs of intoxication and was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, twice the legal limit, police said.
