Boston, MAA Braintree teen has pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court to operating under the influence of drugs after he allegedly crashed his car into a police cruiser while he was trying to videotape an accident scene on his cellphone, police said.
William Sawyer Jr., 18, was also charged with impeded operation, operating to endanger, and obstructing an emergency vehicle, according to a Norfolk district attorney’s spokesman.

Hartford & New Haven, CTA state police trooper is facing drunken driving charges after crashing his police cruiser in Ashford last week, according to state police.
A State police spokesman said 43-year-old David Lavoie crashed on Route 44 in Ashford shortly after midnight Wednesday. Lavoie’s police cruiser was heavily damaged and the trooper was injured.
He was treated Windham Hospital. After his release, Lavoie was charged with drunken driving and failure to maintain a lane, Vance said.
A sergeant responding to the crash took Lavoie’s handgun and other police equipment, according to state police.

Portland, ORA woman was arrested for DUII after she pulled a U-turn and crashed into cops early Saturday morning, police said.
Around 3:20 a.m., 25-year-old Aphinity Marday Jumping Bull was driving west on North Lombard Street near Commercial Avenue with officers right behind her, said a Sgt. with Portland police.
Jumping Bull pulled a U-turn in her 2004 Chevy Impala and slammed into the police car. She then drove off but only made it to North Kerby Avenue before her car broke down, Simpson said.

Boston, MAA state police trooper was hurt when his stationary cruiser was struck from behind by a woman who has been charged with drunken driving.
A department spokesman says Trooper Mark Lombardi was treated at a hospital and released after being struck at about 10:30 p.m. Monday on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston.
His blue lights were on while he protected a maintenance crew performing light pole inspections.
The force of the impact tipped over the woman’s SUV.
Police say 45-year-old Ann Lyn King of Worcester faces a number of charges including operating under the influence.

Houston, TXHouston police arrested a woman Thursday morning after officers said she drove the wrong way on the road and crashed into a patrol car.
Officers said that woman was driving on Almeda around 12:45 a.m. Thursday when she turned down the wrong side of the road and started driving against traffic.
An officer traveling in those lanes saw the driver and tried to avoid her. The woman ended up clipping the back of the police car. She then lost control and drove into a large ditch on the side of the road.
No one was injured in the accident.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, TXTwo Irving Police officers escaped injury Tuesday night after a woman driving the wrong way at high speeds hit them along State Highway 161.
Irving officers were notified around 11:20 p.m. that a woman was driving the wrong-way – travelling south in the northbound lanes of the turnpike near State Highway 114.
While one group of officers pursued her at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour in the southbound lanes, another officer approached the suspect in the northbound lanes and was struck by the woman’s SUV near Conflans Road in Irving.

Denver, COAn allegedly stoned driver drove into two Colorado State Patrol vehicles as troopers were investigating a crash on the ramp to Interstate 76 from I-25 on Saturday evening.
No one was hurt in the accident, according to the Patrol.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. as the troopers' vehicles, with emergency lights flashing, blocked the left lane of the exit ramp.
Keith Kilbey, 23, of Arvada, drove his truck into a CSP Ford Crown Victoria and pushed it into a CSP Dodge Charger.

Richmond-Petersburg, VAThe man who slammed into a marked Prince George’s County police cruiser Friday morning had a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit, authorities said.
Police arrested 32-year-old Devonne Brooks, who faces charges for allegedly driving under the influence during the crash that sent a police officer to a hospital.

Chicago, ILA Chicago police officer and two others were injured in an alcohol-related crash in the Englewood neighborhood early Wednesday.
The crash, which involved a squad car, occurred about 12:45 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Halsted Street, police said.
Two police officers from Gresham District were standing on the street conducting a traffic stop when a dark-colored SUV struck the passenger door of the officers’ squad car, police said. One officer and the two men who were initially stopped were struck by the car, police said.

Philadelphia, PATwo separate crashes left police officers in two different counties hospitalized. And in both cases, the drivers were possible intoxicated.
The first wreck left a Bensalem police officer hurt after her police cruiser was hit by a van on Sunday night in Lower Southampton Township.
Lower Southampton police confirmed to NBC10 that the officer was involved in the crash at Brownsville and Old Street Road around 7:30 p.m.
The officer was taken to Aria Torresdale hospital with neck and back pain.
