An allegedly stoned driver drove into two Colorado State Patrol vehicles as troopers were investigating a crash on the ramp to Interstate 76 from I-25 on Saturday evening. No one was hurt in the accident, according to the Patrol. The accident happened just before 9 p.m. as the troopers' vehicles, with emergency lights flashing, blocked the left lane of the exit ramp. Keith Kilbey, 23, of Arvada, drove his truck into a CSP Ford Crown Victoria and pushed it into a CSP Dodge Charger. Kilbey was charged with driving under the influence of drugs. "We believe marijuana," a CSP spokeswoman said Sunday. The troopers' vehicles were blocking the left lane of the exit ramp and emergency lights were flashing. The troopers were not in their vehicles at the time of the crash.

Comments

It has since been revealed that Kilbey had a blood-alcohol concentration of .268, more than three times the legal limit. Doesn't sound like "stoned" driving to me. Why didn't the CSP ever mention that?
