 George Daniel Ellis III, 43, is believed to be the driver of a car that crashed on April 6, killing passenger Jeffery Stogsdill. At about 8:50 a.m., a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle but it kept going. While fleeing the deputy, Ellis lost control and overturned the vehicle. The passenger, Stogsdill, was ejected and killed in the crash. Ellis fled the scene on foot.

After Johnson was identified by local deputies, he attempted to make an escape in a stolen SUV and led police on a high-speed chase. Soon Johnson lost control of the vehicle, it rolled over, and he was ejected onto the roadway, dying in the process. Details on the case that caused this chase were not available.

16-year-old boy was killed and two other people were injured after the stolen car they were in hit a pole during a police chase early Monday morning on Detroit’s east side, according to Detroit police. The crash came after a reported carjacking at 1:55 a.m. in the area of Van Dyke and Outer Drive. A police patrol saw the 1994 Dodge Duster shortly afterward, and a pursuit ensued, Sgt. Michael Woody with Detroit Police Department said.
