Officials say a 55-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday when he crashed his scooter. Police say around 8 p.m. Sunday, they got a call that 55-year-old Glenn Strunk had been in a one vehicle accident on US 231 just north of Spencer. According to a report, Strunk’s scooter left the roadway and crashed into a concrete drainage ditch. Strunk is hospitalized with a severe head injury. The accident is still under investigation.

One man is dead after a crash in Logansport involving a moped and a parked car Monday night. Logansport Police Assistant Chief Bryan Hillis said a moped hit the rear of a parked car, near the intersection of 17th Street and Erie Avenue, at approximately 6:40 p.m. Monday. A witness behind the moped advised authorities, that he was traveling straight and then appeared to speed up and veer off striking the rear of the parked car. Hillis said the moped driver was ejected from the seat. He said it is unclear at this time if he was pronounced dead at the scene or at the hospital.
