Man dies after moped crash in Logansport.

One man is dead after a crash in Logansport involving a moped and a parked car Monday night.
One man is dead after a crash in Logansport involving a moped and a parked car Monday night. Logansport Police Assistant Chief Bryan Hillis said a moped hit the rear of a parked car, near the intersection of 17th Street and Erie Avenue, at approximately 6:40 p.m. Monday. A witness behind the moped advised authorities, that he was traveling straight and then appeared to speed up and veer off striking the rear of the parked car. Hillis said the moped driver was ejected from the seat. He said it is unclear at this time if he was pronounced dead at the scene or at the hospital. According to Hillis, a deputy with the Cass County’s Sheriff’s Office is doing a full reconstruction of the scene since a fatality was involved. The name of the moped driver has not been released.
