Lerosha Vaneese Forrest was driving north on 52nd street at about 5:30pm and was illegally passing cars that were stopped at a red light. She eventually entered the intersection with Farnam Street and was hit in the rear by a westbound car on that road, which sent her car off of the roadway where it collided with a tree. Lerosha was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger in her vehicle, Ronnie Forrest, 43, was hospitalized with critical head injuries. Fortunately, neither a 1-year-old girl that was in a car seat in Forrest's vehicle nor the driver of westbound vehicle were harmed.

Colorado State Patrol says a Calhan man was killed in a crash Tuesday night at around 6:00 p.m. on Highway 94 about 13 miles east of Colorado Springs. A 1996 Toyota Corolla driven by Philip Cooley was eastbound on Highway 94 when it slowed to make a left turn onto northbound Peyton Highway. A 2001 Dodge 2500 driven by Jesse Matamales of Yoder was traveling behind the Toyota failed to slow down and crashed into the back of the Toyota. The two vehicles remained attached to each other and skid for about 153 feet. Cooley was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about 1:09am, Woodward was driving an SUV on Carolina Beach Road when she crashed into the back of a sedan that was traveling the same direction. Fox, a passenger in the sedan that was driven by his wife, died as a result of the collision. Woodward now faces numerous charges, including DWI.

Randell Omar Foxe was driving at the intersection of Northern Blvd. and Carolina Beach Road just after 1 a.m. when he was rear-ended by 22-year-old Clarissa Woodward. Foxe died in the crash, and Woodward was charged with DWI, felony death by a motor vehicle and reckless operation.

David McGivney and Paul Rodrigues were riding ATVs on Bailey Street when Rodrigues was rear-ended by Mcgivney, causing both men to sustain serious injuries. Neither was wearing proper head gear. Rodrigues sustained severe head trauma and later died at a hospital. Mcgivney was charged with reckless driving, reckless endangerment, driving without a helmet, and for not having any insurance.

Woita was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other passengers in the pickup that was rear-ended were taken to Bryan West Hospital, though their injuries were non-life threatening. Cazun was uninjured in the crash, and has since been arrested for DUI, refusing to take a chemical test, and reckless driving among others.
