Watertown, NYAt around 10 a.m. Monday, 24-year-old Ashley Burris of Theresa and her 15-month-old child were eastbound on Silver Spring Road when their vehicle was overtaken by a fast-moving vehicle. Burris moved to the road’s shoulder to dodge the passing vehicle but struck a snowbank, which caused her vehicle to overturn. No further details are available at this time.

Rochester, NYCody Samuels, 27, a soldier stationed at Fort Drum in New York died in a single-car accident close to the army base. Samuels was driving on state Route 180 in the town of Orleans when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle went off the road and into a farm field, where it was caught in electric wire and flipped. Samuels, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. The incident occured around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 14 in Jefferson County.

Watertown, NYState police say one person from Canada is dead and four others are injured after their sport utility vehicle crashed and overturned on Interstate 81 in northern New York. Troopers tell local media that the SUV was headed north around 4 p.m. Sunday when it crashed, rolled over and came to rest in the median between exits 48 and 49 in the town of Pamelia, outside Watertown, 65 miles north of Syracuse. Officials say the crash killed one person and left four others injured, including two who were flown by helicopters to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
