A driver died after he was ejected from his vehicle in a rollover accident and landed in the roadway early Sunday morning around 5 a.m. on East Beltline Avenue. The driver, Yum Buck Chin, 57, from Grand Rapids, drove off the roadway, overcorrected, lost control and rolled his vehicle. Authorities arriving at the scene found the driver unconscious in the roadway. Chin was taken to the Spectrum Butterworth Hospital where he later died. Chance Frederick was traveling east on Jefferson Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy road. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle during the crash. An 18-year-old Lowell high school senior died after he lost control of his car on Lincoln Lake Avenue and it collided with an oncoming SUV. Alexander Dlouhy was driving a Volkswagen Jetta north on Lincoln Lake Avenue, south of Three Mile Road, when the car crossed the center line about 7:30 a.m. Kent County sheriff's deputies said he tried to steer the car back into the northbound lanes, but lost control.
