A 36-year-old woman died early Saturday following a head-on collision between two vehicles at Millbranch and Oakwood in Whitehaven. Memphis police said the wreck occurred about 2:45 a.m. Saturday in the continuing turn lane of Millbranch and involved a vehicle headed north and another headed south. Jermeika Mattox, driving south, was transported to Regional Medical Center at Memphis in extremely critical condition. She later was pronounced dead.

A crash involving multiple vehicles and a private ambulance sent five people to the hospital Thursday, one in critical condition. None of the people inside the three vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries after the incident at Interstate 240 and Perkins Avenue. The median was more of a wall that a SUV flipped over. A car somehow became shoved under the ambulance.

A man is fighting for his life after an early morning head-on crash that happened near the intersection of South Perkins Road and American Way in Memphis.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The crash involved a Grand Marquis and a Jeep.

Investigators say the driver of the Grand Marquis crossed into the other lane and hit the Jeep head-on.

The driver of the Grand Marquis going to be okay, but the driver of the Jeep has life-threatening injuries.

A Wednesday morning school bus accident sent 18 people including students to Memphis hospitals. The crash happened at Winchester Road and South Goodlett Street, near Lamar Avenue. Memphis Fire Department says at least five ambulances were called to the accident that happened just before. 7 a.m. Students that were hurt had minor injuries and were taken to hospitals, including Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

Eleven people in a sport utility vehicle were critically injured in a crash that occurred at Berta Road and Shelby Drive on Tuesday night. At least two of the adults were taken to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis in critical condition. Eight children were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital where they were being treated and assessed, according to Le Bonheur spokeswoman Sara Burnett.

A plane traveling from Ava, Missouri to Muscle Shoals, Alabama crashed in Chester County on Carl McGill Drive Friday night.

The man and wife on-board the single-engine Cessna 172 aircraft sustained minor injuries when it crashed in a muddy field.

The pilot managed to get out of the plane and walk to a nearby home for help.

His wife was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

The pilot told the local sheriff's department he had zero visibility due to bad weather.

There were multiple accidents along Lamar Avenue in Memphis due to icy road conditions. At least one person was thrown from a vehicle and rushed to the hospital.

Reports are that a car has overturned at Lamar Avenue at Winchester Road. There is another accident on Lamar Avenue at East Holmes Road.

A third accident has been reported at Old Lamar Avenue at Perkins Road that involves at least six vehicles. Witnesses on the scene said that it appears the vehicles hit patches of ice and wrecked.

A car attempting to park at a Social Security Administration building on South Third Street in South Memphis ended up crashing into the front door.

Memphis Police Department initially confirmed there was a break-in at the social security office, but upon investigating, they determined the crash was an accident.

Two Shelby County Sheriff's deputies were transported to the hospital after their patrol vehicle was involved in an accident with a Ford F-150, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.

The accident happened around 6:30 Monday morning at Highway 385 and Highway 14. The deputies were exiting Highway 385, and were getting ready to cross the intersection, when their vehicle was hit by the truck.

A Whiteville, Tenn. police officer was killed in a car crash Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Van Buren Road and West Fork Road in Hardeman County.

According to the Whiteville Police Chief, the officer is identified as Eddie Hamer, who has been on the police force full time for about one year and was a reserve officer since 2005.

Officer Hamer was killed while on duty as an animal control officer.
