18 students taken to hospitals with minor injuries, after school bus accident at intersection in Memphis, Tennessee

A Wednesday morning school bus accident sent 18 people including students to Memphis hospitals. The crash happened at Winchester Road and South Goodlett Street, near Lamar Avenue. Memphis Fire Department says at least five ambulances were called to the accident that happened just before. 7 a.m. Students that were hurt had minor injuries and were taken to hospitals, including Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Shelby County School officials say that 30 Sheffield High School students were on board the bus at the time of the accident. The students that were not injured were loaded onto a second bus, which took them to school.
