Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNThe multi-part crash began at about 6:03pm when a pickup truck driven by Kingbird, 51, with Hawk, 47, as a passenger veered over the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a car driven by Lindstrom, 23. Kingbird's truck then proceeded to collide head-on with another vehicle driven by Karen Mix, 27, with Brooke Mix, 4, Fineday, 28, and Garbow, 25 as passengers. Everyone in the crash was injured, including Fineday who remains in critical condition. Check back for updates and more details on this accident.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNGabriel Kemp of Bluffton, Minnesota, was killed in a head-on collision with a semi-truck early Saturday morning on Highway 71 at 120th Street in the Verndale area of Wadena County at about 12:45 a.m. Kemp was a passenger in a car driven by Tyler Langer, 22, heading north on Highway 71. The car crossed the center line and hit a semi heading south. Kemp died at the crash site. Langer was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the commercial truck had no apparent injuries.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNShortly before 4:00pm in a residential area near Hastings, a car on Ravenna Trail crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck an SUV head-on. One of the passengers in the SUV as well as the driver of the car were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while another passenger in the SUV sustained injuries but is now stable, and it's driver was hospitalized with critical injuries. Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNThe deadly crash happened at 6:22 p.m. on Highway 12 when a Chevy Malibu traveling westbound on Highway 12 and a 2002 Nissan pick-up traveling eastbound crashed head-on when the Nissan lost control on the icy road and crossed the centerline. Both vehicles wound up in a ditch. 37-year-old Fidencio Ramirez Rojas of Litchfield was ejected from the Nissan and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. Juan Martinez Garcia, 44, Miguel Hernandez, 26, and Pedro Godoy, 43, were all in the Nissan and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA 23-year-old man, Travis J. Mahaffey, was killed when his ATV crashed in rural Sherburne County. The accident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday on County Road 43 at 176th Street in Big Lake Township. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after the crash and died about 4 hours later. Authorities have not given information about the circumstances that led to Mahaffey’s death.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNMeshu Lamu was walking to a bus stop on Highway 252 when he was struck by as many as two different vehicles and died of his injuries. Neither vehicle stopped to help him. Witnesses desrcibe the vehicles as being a dark sedan and a red SUV, with damage on their left sides. Police at this point are unsure if both vehicles struck Lamu but want to bring in both drivers for questioning to find out what happened. Lamu had a wife, 6 children, and four grandchildren.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNDeputies say 34-year-old Misty Petschl was driving on County Road 10 when she lost control of her Dodge Caravan and slid into oncoming traffic. Her minivan was struck on the driver’s side by a GMC Yukon driven by 59-year-old David Splettstoeszer of Waconia. Petschl’s 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were also in the vehicle with her at the time of the collision, and they were all transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where Misty Petschl died around 9 p.m. Saturday. Her daughter, Jazmine, also later died from her injuries. The son, Spencer, remains hospitalized.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA fatal accident happened about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday northwest of Faribault, when a car slid on icy Hwy. 21 into the path of another car heading in the opposite direction. Killed were the driver of the out-of-control car, Abdirahman Abdi, 35, of Noel, Mo., and one of his two passengers, Said I. Abdi, 34, of Kansas City, Mo. Another passenger, Rahma B. Ibrahim, 24, of Schuyler, Neb., was being treated at North Memorial Medical Center for serious injuries. The driver of the other car, Justin T. Francis, 37, of St. Peter, Minn., was not injured. The car from Missouri was heading west on Hwy.

St. Louis, MOChristian Dertinger was driving on Ely Lake Drive when he lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a car traveling the opposite direction. Dertinger and the driver of the other vehicle, Megan Paul, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and authorities report that one of them was hospitalized. Icy road conditions are to blame for this accident.
