Misty Petschl, 34, and Jazmine Petschl, 6, killed and Spencer Petschl, 8, injured in car accident on County Road 10 in Laketown Township, MN

Deputies say 34-year-old Misty Petschl was driving on County Road 10 when she lost control of her Dodge Caravan and slid into oncoming traffic. Her minivan was struck on the driver’s side by a GMC Yukon driven by 59-year-old David Splettstoeszer of Waconia.  Petschl’s 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were also in the vehicle with her at the time of the collision, and they were all transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where Misty Petschl died around 9 p.m. Saturday. Her daughter, Jazmine, also later died from her injuries. The son, Spencer, remains hospitalized. A memorial fund web page has been set up to support the Petschl family.
