Anthony Suggs Jr., 31, killed when his motorcycle strikes tractor on N.C. 42 in Johnston County, North Carolina

On Friday morning, Anthony Suggs Jr., of Clayton, was riding a motorcycle along N.C. 42 near Thanksgiving Fire Department Road when he approached a tractor that was mowing grass on the shoulder. The tractor pulled into Suggs' path, and Suggs struck the back of the machine and was thrown from his bike. He died at the scene. The driver of the tractor, William Pittman of Benson, has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and unsafe movement.

A three motorcycle crash between Daniel Wade Gautier, Jonathan Kent Gilmore and Bradley Gene Proctor near the intersection of John Rosser Road and Patchetts Creek Lane has left two of the men injured. Gautier and Gilmore were attempting to make a left turn when Proctor, approaching from behind, failed to slow down and struck the other two motorcyclists, throwing all parties off of their bikes. 

Motorcyclist Pamela Melody Butler, 32, killed in crash on Raleigh Boulevard in Raleigh, North Carolina

A motorcyclist identified as Pamela Melody Butler, 32, was killed Wednesday in a crash on Raleigh Boulevard southbound at Martin Luther King Boulevard. Butler was southbound when a northbound pickup truck driven by Belsazar Toledo-Garcia, 38, was attempting to make a left turn onto Rock Quarry Road, but failed to yield and turned right into Butler's path. Toledo-Garcia has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving without a license and unsafe movement.

One person died Sunday after a single vehicle motorcycle wreck near 477 Creech Johnson Rd. in Zebulon. Derek Wiggins, 37, of Middlesex, lost control on a curve and crashed at about 3:45 p.m near his mother's residence.

A man died in a motorcycle wreck that closed part of South Saunders Street near downtown Raleigh. Alsabry was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Gillespie died at the hosptial.

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night after a single-vehicle accident on South Wilmington Street between Mechanical Boulevard and the U.S. 70-401 split, Raleigh police reported. The driver was identified as Edmanuel Jimenez Salgado, 19, of the 3600 block of Tuckland Drive in Raleigh. A witness told police that the motorcycle and another vehicle were stopped at a red light on U.S. 70 and Mechanical Boulevard. When the light turned green, both vehicles accelerated, and the motorcyclist lost control and veered off the road.

One motorcyclist killed, after he runs a red light at an intersection on Davis Drive in Durham, and crashes into a tractor-trailer.

A motorcyclist died Friday morning after running a red light and crashing into a tractor-trailer in Durham, according to the state Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist's name will not be released until family is notified. The crash happened near Park and Davis drives shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Troopers say the 1994 Honda motorcycle was traveling north on Davis Drive when the rider ran a red light and crashed into the right side of a 2006 Sterling tractor-trailer that was turning left onto the Interstate 40 eastbound ramp.

One person seriously injured, taken to hospital, after a motorcyclist is struck by a car that ran a red light on Weston Parkway in Cary.

A motorcyclist was taken to Wake Med with serious injuries after an accident Sunday afternoon on Weston Parkway.

A car traveling southbound ran a red light and struck the motorcycle as it turned left turn onto Harrison Avenue.

All of inbound Harrison Avenue, and one outbound lane, remain closed as of 5:15 p.m.

One person seriously injured, taken to hospital, after debris falling on the Highway 64 roadway near Wendell, causes a chain-reaction crash of over 6 motorcycles, traveling in a 60 plus motorcycle caravan.

More than half a dozen motorcycles were involved in a wreck that shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 64 Saturday afternoon.

The accident blocked Highway 64 between Edgemont Road and Lizard Lick Road for almost two hours.

The Highway Patrol says a group of about 60 motorcycles were heading eastbound when an item fell off a boat being towed. That set off a chain reaction crash.

Troopers say one rider was seriously hurt and rushed to WakeMed.
