A woman was driving on Interstate 15 near 400 North in Bountiful, Utah when her car crashed into the back of a parked construction worker's truck in the work zone at around 3 a.m. A passenger in the vehicle, Sarah O'Connor Green, was not wearing a seat belt, and she was ejected from the car and died on scene. The car driver, Misty Davis of Sandy, was transported to the hospital and is facing felony charges pending toxicology results.

Police have identified the driver who died in a crash in Parleys Canyon on Monday night. Ronald Murrock, 56, from Bellevue, Washington, was traveling westbound on I-80 in Parleys Canyon when he lost control of his Acura and crashed into an SUV that had slid off the road. A woman had pulled over and parked her SUV on the shoulder to help. Police said the Acura driven by Murrock narrowly missed hitting the woman. Murrock was killed upon impact. No one else was injured.

West Valley City police have identified a "person of interest" in a hit-and-run accident that left a skateboarder in critical condition. Law enforcement officers want to talk with Joseph Crecencio Granados, 32, in connection with the Tuesday night crash that left a 21-year-old man in a coma on Wednesday. The victim was hit by a 1997 Acura RL as he rode his skateboard north near 4000 West and 4215 South about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

An Idaho man has died in a crash between two pickup trucks Friday evening. The man was identified as James P. Pickett. A Dodge pickup truck, southbound on I-15, drove up behind a slower-moving Ford pickup at 5:15 p.m., about 14 miles south of the Utah-Idaho border. The Dodge crashed into the Ford, propelling the Ford down an embankment on the right side of the road. The Ford pickup crashed through a fence, into a tree and continuing forward, hit a propane tank, the corner of a house and a parked car before coming to a stop. The driver of the Ford, Pickett, died at scene, according to UHP.

Gilbert R. Aguirre, 56, of Stansbury Park was killed Saturday after his motorcycle collided into the back of a car in Magna.  About 6:40 p.m. , the car and the motorcyclist were moving west on Utah State Route 201. The car began slowing down, and the motorcycle crashed into the back near 9200 West. Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. No one in the car was hurt. The crash remains under investigation.

The man who was driving the motorcycle only sustained minor injuries and was taken to the University of Utah Hospital via ambulance. The woman was airlifted to the same hospital with facial lacerations but is expected to be okay.

A deadly car accident Saturday morning in Logan Canyon took the life of one young man, critically injured another and sent two more to the hospital. Utah Highway Patrol troopers say Bruce Wilson, 57, was driving a Ford pickup pulling a boat down Logan Canyon, with two young men with him. Those passengers have been identified as Morgan Wright, 14, and Ethan Fowers, 12. Lieutenant Lee Perry from UHP says he believes the three were coming home to Hooper after an outing on Bear Lake.

A pedestrian died Saturday night when a motorcycle struck him in Capitol Reef National Park.

Christopher Gillette, 35, of Bountiful, was walking east on State Road 24 about 6 miles east of Torrey when a motorcycle, also eastbound struck him from behind, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Lawrence Hopper.

Gillette was wearing a headlamp but was facing away from the motorcyclist, who did not see Gillette in the darkness, Hopper said.

Investigators have identified one of the three people who died in a rollover crash near the Salt Lake City International Airport. Michaela Martin, 18, of Taylorsville and two boys died Saturday after their vehicle flipped into a retention pond at the end of a chase on Interstate 80, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The 24-year-old driver of the black Volkswagen, who survived, allegedly sped out of a parking garage at the airport at about 5 a.m. and would not stop for an airport police officer, according to UHP Lt. Jeff Nigber.

A 60-year-old man died Tuesday when his ultralight aircraft crashed at Willard Bay State Park.

The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. at a road to the Willow and Cottonwood campgrounds, said a Utah State Parks spokesman.

The National Transportation Safety Board, Utah State Park rangers and Box Elder County are investigating the cause of the crash.

The victim is a Weber County resident, but the spokesman did not know his hometown. His name was not being released pending family notifications.
